Mind Doing Overtime

28/11/2023

When I get in bed at night, my mind starts to do overtime, but that probably happens to a lot of us and then it takes a toll on our Mental Health, unfortunately when your mind does overtime, so does your mental health.

For example, your mind is doing overtime thinking about a traumatic thing that’s happened to you, and it could be a new thing or something that has just happened, but you can’t work and have to go to the doctor…. It starts taking its toll on your mental health too, why?

You starting reliving the traumatic event, but now you’re depressed because you are thinking about the what if’s and of course you do because your realising how much worse it could’ve turned out to be.

What your mind doing overtime doesn’t always include traumatic events, in fact it could be money, it could be work issues, it could be realising that the person you always relied on isn’t there no more and it could be, could I have done more, was there anything at all I could have done, why didn’t I speak these feelings before they passed?

My point is this, sometimes it can be money, a dearly departed family member or a traumatic event that you’ve not got passed yet.

Its straight thinking, it doesn’t have to be big or small, your mind is doing overtime and there is one sure fire thing… Its not disappearing anytime soon, big or small.
