I am always here to be an ear for anyone who may need it.
I took two Mental Health courses to qualify as a Mental Health First Aider and even before that, I always tried to help anyone I could by chatting to them or talking through their problems.
The reason is sympathy and empathy for other people and I’ve always wanted to help anyone, in anyway I could possibly do so.
Two Mental Health courses later, I’m qualified to do just that, and I’ll continue too, but there’s one thing I’ve never figured out which is this
- As a qualified Mental Health First Aider, I speak to people and try to help, and this does not effect me in current circumstances but its a big and very valid question…
Who consoles, helps or chats to a Mental Health First Aider who may be struggling themselves?
It’s a question that I expect will never be answered but its a valid question.
Maybe one day the question will be answered in future training courses, I seriously hope this is added and answered for future students.
But people like myself I.E already qualified, its something we have to deal with ourselves and hope as I do that we individually know our personal limit.
